For days now I have had constant sharp middle back pains. It hurts to sneeze, cough, bend and lift heavy objects. I can hardly walk or sit, I’m only comfortable when I’m lying down in bed, even then I can’t move, i have to stay in one position. Whatever way I twist, turn or bend, not only does it hurt, but its like I cant breathe. Why is this?

How are you sitting up typing this??

Here are a few links that may help. Good luck

is there any pain or numbness in your foot or legs? I experienced the same symptoms as you have described, but I also had a numinb feeling in my left foot, and severe shooting pains down my left leg. My L5 disc had ruptured and was impinging on the nerve endings running down my left leg. Unfortunately it took so long for the whole thin g to get diagnosed that I suffered permenant damge to my leg. They did finally perform a discotomy on my L5 disc. Sadly there is still pain in my lower back and I am permanently numb in my left leg. Hope this helps

Have you seen a chiropractor? Could be a vertebre out of alignment. The symptoms sound similar if it’s the middle of the back. I would see one. He can take xrays and possibly put things back in place for you.
