It’s the kind of lower back pain you would get when your period is approaching, but the problem is my period is already over. The pain can be felt especially during times when I lie or sit down. Have anyone of you faced it before and know any cause or treatment for it? Many thanks.

Ive been keeping a friend company the past couple of days, she has had constant lower back pain for the past 48 hours now and has been vomiting 2 or 3 times a day. She says the pain in here back is so severe its hard for her to want to even move. Any suggestions of what this could be?
Common causes of low back pain include lumbar strain, nerve irritation, lumbar radiculopathy, bony encroachment, and conditions of the bone and joints. Other causes of low back pain include kidney problems, pregnancy, ovary problems, and tumors. Uncommon causes of low back pain include Paget’s disease of bone, bleeding or infection in the pelvis, infection of the cartilage and/or bone of the spine, aneurysm of the aorta, and shingles. i just ran last night, so i have a feeling i did something wrong then. i read how to prevent this from happening again, but i still have to deal with it now. So what should i do to stop feeling the lower back pain? Should I take a tylenol or aleve (these are the only ones i have)? Would a heating pad help?
I developed a bulging disc between lumbar 4 and 5 by running too much on the
jogging trail and developed sciatica down my left leg.
I’ll tell you what I did. You’ll have to decide what is
applicable in your case.
Aleve is a good NSAID medication that is sold over the counter.
The doctor can prescribe a stronger form of the drug in the name Naproxen.
Back ice packs are a good idea also.Usually they can be placed around the waist
area for the best relief.
(They connect with velcro) You can buy them at most pharmacies

The constant thumping of running is what causes the lumbar disks to be compressed and subsequent nerve damage can occur.
I bought the Teeter inversion table to help with this problem. You can invert yourself partially or completely for spine decompression. It feels great.
It costs a few hundred but I like it. This is the best bang for the
buck as far as I’m concerned.

I have been using the baby bjorn carrier and my lower back is so sore it hurts to stand up. It is a old bjorn model but even the newer models with back support may fall short for what I need. What baby carrier doesn’t cause lower back pain?
I’ve yet to have a problem with the Ergo carrier. My daughter is 24lbs about, my son is about 13lbs, I carry him around a lot and don’t run into lower-back pain. It goes up to 40lbs.
Add: I want to add, my husband runs a sale-pitch whenever anyone asks him about it. He LOVES it and swears by it. And I have carried our 2 year old around in it and had no problems. Mind you… I had a c-section and had no problem carrying her in it at 2 months after.

lower back pain can be cause by heavy activities. However blood in your stools can be anything from hemorrhoids to possible cancer. If you are experiencing this condition don’t ask what could be causing it GO TO A DOCTOR PLEASE!!!!!!
I live a very sedentary lifestyle and work a very sedentary job. I am also overweight. (Big surprise.)
I have recently started eating healthy and working out in order to try to fix these problems, and because diabetes and heart problems run in my family.
The problem is, when I exercise, it causes strong lower back pain within about 10 minutes.
I tried just taking walks during my breaks and lunch at work, because I thought I might have been overdoing the workouts for someone so out of shape. However, even walking for just 10 minutes causes the back pain.
It seems that my body is so used to sitting (and probably a bad posture) that just standing up for that long is causing the back pain.
I need to exercise in order to get healthy and lose weight, but the back pain is making it very difficult. Is there something else I can do about it? Will it stop hurting as I lose weight?
I’ve stuck with the exercising for about 2 weeks now and the pain hasn’t gone away yet.
Thanks!
Many years ago I was more or less in your position. I was so out of shape from sitting at a desk hunched over a computer that I couldn’t exercise. Fortunately, my chiropractor recommended a physical therapist. I was skeptical, thinking surgery was my only answer, but the PT got me back on the road to recovery again.
He had me start by exercising in the pool, by walking in water, so that most of my weight was supported. When I got up to 1/2 hour of that, he had me put on a floatation belt that held me out of the water from my waist up and use only my stomach muscles in various exercises.
After about 6 weeks of this, I graduated to treadmill walking and other back and abdominal exercises in the gym.
I suggest you try the (slow) water walking for a few weeks and see if you can do that without pain. If so, gradually try replacing some of those water minutes with walking out out of the water.
If you cannot walk in water without pain or if you cannot replace any of the water minutes with land minutes, I would strongly advise seeing a physical therapist.
Oh, and to answer your question, "will it stop hurting as I lose weight", my answer would be, unless you’ve ruptured a disk, it will probably stop hurting when your core muscles (back and abs) get strong enough to support your weight.
Good luck!
I recently started taking Yasmine and my lower back has been aching constantly. The only relief I get is when I bend in half and touch my toes. I can’t lay down on my back or my side or my stomach. It radiates throughout my entire back. Could this be side effect of the Pill?
I am not 100% sure about it. But if you are still suffering from a back pain consider wearing a Sacroiliac Belt (aka SI Belt) around your back. What it does is that by providing the correct balance of resistance and resilience, the SI belt re-establishes the joint’s normal motion, thus relieves stress and instability at these weight bearing structures. The price of SI belts are in reasonable range these days, average cost is about $40 USD. I know a lot of people who wear SI belts, and I’ve read some astonishing testimonials about it. There are many si belts out there, but Serola SI Belt seems to be the best one as far as quality, comfort, and price are considered. Check out their website for more: http://www.serola.net/product_new_sac_belt.php
I think you buy directly from their website at: http://serolabelt.com/new-serola-sacroiliac-belt.aspx
Hope it helps, good luck to you!
