i always experience shoulder pain everytime i wake up in the morning.please help me.

I used to get that – I try to fall asleep flat on my back. Make sure your pillows aren’t supporting your neck and head too high because that can also put a strain on your back and shoulders. Try and use a squishy pillow if you can :)

I had the lap band and they found a hiatial hernia.
They removed it and I am having this horrible pain in my chest and shoulders.
I want to know if there are excersices I can do?
I’m limited on my movement due to the lap band.
It hurts soo bad when I inhale.

Is there anything I can do?

I had a laporoscopy and they told me I’d have shoulder and back pain because they had to inflate my stomach with carbon dioxide to be able to see. That causes nerve pain that goes to your shoulders. It should get better in a few days if that’s it. In the meantime, lay down flat on your back as much as possible. That should help. If it doesn’t, have your surgeon paged. Good luck!

Saturday, my neck started hurting and the pain has increased since then. The pain has gone to the base of my neck to in between my shoulder blades, to the middle of my right shoulder. I have been taking prescription pain killers and muscle relaxers from back pain 9 months ago. Nothing seems to make the pain go away. I got my Mom to put muscle rub on my neck and shoulders, but it doesn’t help. Driving is painful, sitting is painful; this morning I could not straighten my hair in the back and pain was 7 on a scale of 1-10. The pain is gone right now but I still feel discomfort and straining. What should I do? Looking down and turning my neck is painful. Please help
I went to physical therapy for my back, it didn’t help. The pain gets numb then comes back.
Now the pain is going to my left shoulder and more down the middle of my back, and the front of my right shoulder. This is aggravating! I don’t remember what I did exactly because it started hurting all of a sudden.

Hello, you have what I have.
You need to get an MRI.. You probably have a bulging disc or herniated disc in your neck.. Those are all my symptoms..

Get the MRI, also after shots, medicine, I am getting surgery.
I am seeing a neurosurgeon. and getting it fixed.

Believe me I have had it for seven years.

SOmetimes when I walk long distances or do physical work I find my upper back/shoulder area aching. It consistently aches when I do physical work. I looked into going to a parlor and getting a massage but heard that doesn’t really help.

Hi,

It is probably due to bad posture. Bad posture does not mean that you are hunch or slouch, there are also that looks good but actually it is not. Just because you are comfortable with your posture you already have good posture. You see, good standing posture is an easy and comfortable position such that a straight line could be drawn from your ears, through your shoulders, the center of your hip, and ankles.

You better examine yourself and see if you really have proper posture. Bad posture also results from too much work. Work make our body tired that our body seek a position to relax because of this we do not realize that we are loosing our proper posture.

Do some some exercises. There are various types of exercises that you can do like shoulder blade squeeze. This exercises is very helpful in treating not only shoulder pain but also posture. You can find some video exercises on youtube that offers different method on how to do it.

You may also use posture brace, this not free unlike the exercise, but it is worth spending. This will help you give support to your shoulder.

So thats it, Hope this may help you… sorry to hear about your pain

Take care

My 45 year old mom has neck back and shoulder pain when she has an ear infecton> Why is this? Could there be an underlying problem?

makes sense -there’s lymph glands in those areas & the swelling accompanies a viral illness. treat the pain, rest, get a massage, see a chiropractor, drink lotsa water, soak in a hot tub, wash your hands better, and see your doctor.

Okay, so I was here last week asking questions about constipation but here I am back again.
It’s going on 10 days now. I have not been able to go to the bathroom on my own yet. I took one ex lax last Monday but nothing happened, I took two on Tuesday and was able to have some relief, however since then nothing. I have been taking stool softeners everyday since and I have yet to see results. I am starting to get really bad back pains and shoulder pains. Is there any way this could all be related? I don’t know what to do next.

My back pain has been on and off for about 2 days and is on the left side, near my waist. My should pain is also on the left side and I’ve had maybe 3 episodes over the past 3 days, and it feels like an ache or tension behind my collar bone. I am just so nervous about this pregnancy. Should I be concerned?

No that’s pretty normal. Once you get over that one month the back pains just come and go. you’ll be fine try taking warm (not hot) baths to relax and ask your husband to give you gentle massages. It’s like heaven when they do cuz it takes out the tension in your neck and back. Good luck

My upper back hurts alot only when i stand up straight or sit up straight. I been having this extremely sharp pain for awhile now. First it starts in one place than it travels straight down my spine, but it doesn’t hurt when it travels it feels like (liquid) sliding down my spine. The pain only goes away when I lie down but then it comes back within 45 minutes

The upper back and neck region is the most complex area of our body because of the many joints and how those joints work together.

The neck and shoulders can exhibit much the same difficulties as the lower back, such as pulled muscles, disk problems, arthritis, and other issues. While lower back pain affects our ability to ambulate, upper back pain affects our ability to perform daily activities like brushing our teeth or driving a car.

The two most common reasons for upper back and neck pain are trauma and muscle imbalances, the latter being responsible for what are called "postural dysfunctions." These postural dysfunctions cause abnormal alignment of the head and shoulder and abnormal positioning of the joints that lead to increased wear and tear on the joints, muscles, and ligaments–even discs.

Cortisone injections, prescriptions for muscle relaxants or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and bed rest are most commonly employed.

Chiropractor care and physical therapy can offer spinal mobilization, hot packs, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, cervical traction, and therapeutic exercises.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.
