I know this is probably an excercise in futility, but is there anything that I can do to make my back quit hurting so bad?? I’m working part time, and trying to finish up a semester in college, so staying in bed and resting isn’t an option. Does anything help?

If you have someone that can provide back-rubs they really help! With my second pregnancy I had intense back-aches and my husband would rub my back with rubbing alcohol every night when I got home from work and that made the spasms stop.

Good luck!

when u get a chance to sit down, put a hot wheat bag or a hot water bottle on your back, if u don’t have the time rub Lavender oil where the pain is, the oil will help soothe most pains.

I use an electric heating pad, or if I am not at home, a portable heat wrap like Thermacare. I also take regular strength Tylenol. The nurse practitioner at my OB said both were fine.

Try stretching, lite stretching though. It works for me, i used to work all day on my feet and my back hurt so bad it brought tears to my eyes. I am 5 months and the changes in my body calls for more exercise and rest.
